Memorial Day weekend sales - fashion at 50

When I worked outside the home the Friday before a three day weekend was always my favorite. The thought of three days stretching out in front of me with no reason to get dressed up and all that time to putter in the house was such a glorious feeling.  Ironically, now that I work from home I look for reasons to get dressed and sometimes avoid what needs to be done at home.  Ha, ha!  I guess it's true, we want whatever we don't have.

In that vein, now that I am posting five days of fashion, I miss sharing some of the other things going
on here at home.  So I have decided to implement Whatever...Wednesdays, where I will share whatever I am working on whether it be crafts, home decor, gardening, party planning...you get the idea, whatever!

But today is Friday and I do love fashion so we are talking Memorial Day Clothing Sales.  I think every store has some sort of sale going on but I'm focusing on a few of my favorites...Loft, Kohls, Nordstrom and Old Navy.  If  I were doing some shopping here's what I'd put in my cart...

Loft is having 40% off everything and 60% off sale items.  Plus if you spend $50.00 you get Loft cash for $25.00 to spend later.  (The prices listed for Loft are the original prices not the sale prices. The sale prices are reflected on the linked website.)

Nordstrom is having their half yearly sale with up to 40% off selected merchandise.

Kohls has huge discounts store wide plus Kohls cash for every $25.00 spent.

Old Navy is having 50% off tees, tanks and shorts plus additional markdowns store wide.

I have a few things that I have my eye on that's for sure.  I just have to narrow it down a bit a lot.

Other than great sales, there isn't a whole lot happening around here this weekend.  We will just be hanging around and hopefully catching up on a few honey do's.  What about you?  Do you do anything special to celebrate Memorial Day?
