Get Away Saturday - Let's chat

Good morning. Just a quick post to say hello from the airport headed North to the beautiful Oregon coast for a mini family reunion of sorts.  I'm leaving behind our first heatwave of the summer and arriving to rain with the promise of sun in the next couple of days. Trust me I'm not complaining.


It was a little sad packing without my furry companion stressing at the sight of my suitcase. I'm
finding it's the little things that jar my memory, the very ordinary moments of everyday. Especially coming home...he knew the sound of my car engine and I could hear his greeting from the time I opened my car door.

But enough sadness.  This trip came at the perfect time. I'm looking forward to a change of pace, time with family and a glass of wine or two.

    We love the Oregon coast. Living in landlocked Idaho (Boise), the nearest coast to us is Oregon's. Trips over to Seaside and Cannon Beach are always a joy.

    Glad you'll be enjoying the Oregon coast with family (and wine).... I just got back from a 3 day mini trip to Florence and it is so beautiful there! Enjoy your trip, relax and rejuvinate!
