Early Summer Wardrobe Challenge -Ten Items/Ten Outfits
Day 9 - Skinny Jeans and Patterned Short Sleeve Top
Of course my white straight jeans are at the top of my list because they dress up and down so easily.
Today I paired it with the 3/4 sleeve patterned blouse from the challenge items on the Early Summer Wardrobe Challenge list.
I added this pretty blue stone tassel necklace (similar) (similar), simple gold earrings (similar), a few bangle bracelets and my favorite gold watch (same). For shoes I went with a wedge heel sandal (same) (similar). The heel on these is just high enough to give me a little leg length but still provide comfort if our date includes walking.
I will often do a part up, part down hair do when I go out just to dress things up a bit. Cyndi Spivey at Grace + Beauty has an easy tutorial here and I use her version most of the time.
It makes sense that my date night outfits would be on the casual side since our lifestyle is mostly just that...casual. I have a few "special outfits" that I save for weddings and funerals or that occasional time when he says, "honey, let's go have some fun!" Then the pumps and dressier duds have a chance to shine!

This may be casual but still so pretty and put together! We are usually pretty casual for dates, but this is where I really put in the effort. With gardening, cleaning and lots of hard work taking up a lot of my days I don't put a lot of effort into days that just get me messy, but I like to look good for my sweetheart and I actually look forward to dressing up a little more when I can. I LOVE white jeans or capris in the summer because they just look a little dressier to me than blue jeans and they go with everything you can think of.
