I ventured out into the garden before my first cup of coffee on purpose this morning. I wanted to take a look at it with half closed eyes and see if there was one single living thing pretty enough to photograph.
Just when I was about to give up I took notice of my red radio flyer wagon and found a few zinnias valiantly trying to be beautiful, just for me.
That's life...sometimes you have to squint real hard, close one eye and pray a little and lo and behold something beautiful shows up, just for you.
xo, Patty
Surprisingly, my garden looks pretty good. I think it is because Judy's husband John is watering it instead of me...

Good food for thought...searching for the beautiful instead of dwelling on the negative.
ReplyDeleteBless those zinnias, they've been my faves all summer! Glad yours are still doing well, too.
ReplyDeleteYay zinnias. My garden is blooming pretty good now. We have enormous begonias and the little hydrangeas are blooming that I layered last year.
ReplyDeleteEven my Knockout Roses have quit blooming in this drought.
ReplyDeleteZinnias are wonderful, aren't they? I posted about them today, too.
ReplyDeleteYou didn't have to go too far..Pretty pictures..
ReplyDeleteSweet little zinnias...Even their name is petite sounding.
ReplyDeleteSummer is almost over and it's nice that you are savoring the end of the growing season.
Have a blessed week, my friend,
Carolynn xo
Amen to that! My garden really needs a fall over haul but it is still a bit too warm and humid.
ReplyDeleteLove your positive attitude!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful summer's end flowers too.
Hope this week is a beautiful one for you :)

Bless you for seeing beautiful in a whole garden that has been ravaged by heat and dry weather. He still opens our eyes every once in a while, to let us know that there is always beauty somewhere. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day ;-)
Those cute white with pink splotched zinnias are super cute. Do you remember the name of them?
ReplyDeleteMy zinnias are spindly but gathered together into a little bouquet and they become spectacular.

Wow, I really needed that today. Too often we just see the bad in things. Need to focus on what is good! Thank You.
ReplyDeleteMine too. So dry and parched out there! We got a teeny bit of rain this evening. It was not enough though!
ReplyDeleteI hope you got my email regarding Thursday. I think if I wasn't having my family here for Drew's sendoff party, I would try to make it. I think with Noah being in school for 4 hours, I could do it, and just pass on the Hobby Lobby part. So don't count me out for next time.
Hugs,
Kris
