Lemons and Larkspur: Lemon Lane Cottage on Etsy

I know, I know...I missed my own grand opening, It has been one of those weeks where life happens and the best laid plans and intentions just go out the window. I had a bit of a family crisis that required my immediate attention but as my daughter says, "It is what it is" and I have discovered (once again) that any control I thought I had over the situation was purely my imagination. Have you ever been there?

Now on to the "mini" grand opening of Lemon Lane Cottage on Etsy.

For as long as I can remember I have wanted to open a little shop of my own. Before the rise of online shopping I always figured it would be a brick and mortar shop but now how fortunate I am to be able to sew and craft in my own home and with the click of a few buttons, offer my wares to you.

I am excited and a little bit nervous to put myself out there but I would rather try and fail than to live in my comfort zone and always wonder what if...

I hope you'll take a minute and click over to take a look. I have more merchandise to take photos of and list but I knew I just needed to dive in and test the waters.

My plan is to add merchandise weekly so if there is something you would like but don't see, let me know. Also, everything I make can be customized by color, size or in the case of the memory books, by occasion or gender.

Oh my, I know how you feel with 'not having control'. Many times I have forgotten myself and been blind sided by one of those surprises...and not of the happy kind either. Glad to see that you roll with the punches though, but, really, what can we do anyway.

Patty you know I am a big fan. I can't wait to see what is on there. Our internet is awful right now so it won't load but I hope they can fix it. When they put in our Direct TV they messed it up.

So many pretty things in your shop! It's SCARY, isn't it? I put myself "out there" a few years ago with a booth of my photography at a local craft fair. It was Nov 2008...just as the economy was starting to tank. Who wanted to put their money down on photography from a no name? I can say I tried - and I won't ever have to wonder. More power to you for taking the first step! Your offerings are all BEAUTIFUL and I can't wait to read about your first sale and all the successes to come. Your shop looks great. You have a wonderful start. Love the way you have taken your photos.
I find it takes so long to do each listing, I just put off doing it. I feel inspired (there's that word again) to get at it again with my shop.
