Happy 4th of July...
This one is especially sweet to us as we await the return of my son-in-law from a seven month deployment this week.
How proud we are of him and all the service men and women who sacrifice so much so that we can continue to enjoy the freedom we love.
Let's give thanks and celebrate!
xo, Patty

Such a wonderful gift for the 4th! We're awaiting granddaughter number two who is a week late now. Hopefully she'll make her appearance this week.
ReplyDeletePatty,
ReplyDeleteMake the most of these days. Remember when "Mr. Ed" returned home from his last overseas duty. Living in a small town on the eastern side of the Prairie...our townspeople tied yellow ribbons to the porchpost while our sons and I picked him up at the KC airport. What a precious memory!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Special thanks to your son-in-law. We really don't have a clue to the real sacrificies that he has made. Such a brave youn man.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that he will be returning. And please express my thanks to him for his service. I have a nephew who was deployed three times and thankfully returned - physically unharmed. These young men and women deserve our respect and gratitude and I hope they will all receive tender loving care to help them cope with what they have experienced. Ann
