independence day

7/4/12

Happy 4th of July...

This one is especially sweet to us as we await the return of my son-in-law from a seven month deployment this week.

How proud we are of him and all the service men and women who sacrifice so much so that we can continue to enjoy the freedom we love.

Let's give thanks and celebrate!

xo, Patty

  7. Beautiful porch. Happy Fourth. Thank your son for us. Our son was deployed two times, so I know how hard that is and what a relief when they are on US soil again.

  20. Patty,
Make the most of these days. Remember when "Mr. Ed" returned home from his last overseas duty. Living in a small town on the eastern side of the Prairie...our townspeople tied yellow ribbons to the porchpost while our sons and I picked him up at the KC airport. What a precious memory!!!
    Fondly,
    Pat

  22. How wonderful that he will be returning. And please express my thanks to him for his service. I have a nephew who was deployed three times and thankfully returned - physically unharmed. These young men and women deserve our respect and gratitude and I hope they will all receive tender loving care to help them cope with what they have experienced. Ann
