What are you up to today?

2/27/12

Just sitting in my chair planning my day...

It feels so strange to have the whole day ahead of me with nothing set in concrete.

Sure there's the usual cleaning and puttering to do...

at some point I will throw in a load of laundry and unload the dishwasher...

hopefully, if the rain stays away, a little time working in the garden...

and I know dinner is on the horizon...

but there is absolutely no place I have to be at any certain time.

This is totally new for me, so I was just wondering...

What are you up to today?

  1. Laundry, cleaning and drafting my letter to the city so I do not have to pay all my $900 water bill from my water main break....I better get with it! We relaxed yesterday.
Have a great day whatever you decide to do!

  6. Right now, doing a quick check of email and blogs on the computer, before the girls get up. Around 9:00 they'll get up and get breakfast and I'll get them started with homeschool activities (the 14 yr old at at least, the 18 yr old pretty much sets her own schedule). Then I need to get started making an oven stew recipe. My mother's 77th birthday was yesterday and I told her I would make a big batch of stew and bring it over in freezable portions tonight. Hopefully I'll have some time to get in the garden and start preparing the beds. It's supposed to be in the 60's today, but rain tomorrow. Oh -- and some dog walking and lots of tea drinking!

  8. Oh how wonderful for you Patty! I am going to my Knitty Bitties group after dropping my Noah boy to preschool. I think it will pretty much be a day of rest, after we worked so hard in the yards this weekend. Seems to be the norm these days...Monday....aches and pains!!! See you Saturday!

  16. Looks like there are quite a few of us who do laundry and chores on Mondays. That's my work in progress for the day. I would like to get a blog post up as well. Not sure if that will happen because obviously I'm not working on it now... (smile)

Enjoy the afternoon. Are you getting some rain down there?

  18. Went to work, get my hair cut, went to my harp lesson and reheated last nights supper for tonight. I don't want to do much so I'm reading some blogs and I have a fire going. Just kissed my grandson good night. So the quiet evening is in store for me.
Hopefully get a well needed nights sleep. Then get up and do it all over again. :)

  19. Patty,
It has been a hetic week @ work and it's only Tuesday. After work, I treated "Mr. Ed" to a late lunch @ Arby's then grocery shopping together where I picked up the Spring issue of Country Home. Now it's a cup of tea and some "me" time while he's away at a meeting this evening! Hope the rest of your week is what you wish it to be!
    Fondly,
    Pat
