As the season begins to change from the short brown days of winter to the freshness of spring, I realize I am ready for more color around the cottage.
Not that I've ever been shy around color but spring just calls for pops of eye candy goodness. I started pulling out my Easter decorations, placing them on the mantel to help usher in the season.
I also put together this pretty banner from some left over quilt blocks and draped it across the fireplace.
If I had to choose a color that just says, "Welcome Spring", I don't think I could decide. I love them all.
What about you? Can you choose a favorite?
What colors have you thinking Spring?
Yellow for daffodils! :-) I'm ready for spring color too. Hope you have a colorful day.
ReplyDeleteYellow is my favorite. I am pulling out the Easter decorations as well. Green just isn't my thing!

Your mantle looks so pretty, all ready for spring. I'm not quite ready to bring out some spring decor yet, but when I do, I tend to choose yellow, green, and white.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, that is a question I'd have to really think about, but after some thought, I do think green would be the color to welcome spring. ONe of my favorite pars of spring is the new green growth that protrudes from the bare brances of the trees - oh, and then the pink or white flowers of the blooms. Lovely contrast.
ReplyDeleteLove the red in your rooms. So happy.

I'm craving color as well. I just took down my 'winter' decorations and am now ready to decorate and put a little more color back into my home. I have no favorite colors, just nice, soft ones. Anything that reminds me of the newness and birth of Spring and all it brings!
ReplyDeleteI love the banners on the mantle and the mini version on the frame! GREAT idea! I have to do one for our mantle. Thanks for the inspiration...
ReplyDeleteLove your spring mantel. I just started gettng my spring accessories out too! I think we're all ready for spring! Your home is lovely and inviting.
