art workshop

Today was the first chance I've had to pull out some stamps and paint and play in my new craft studio.  I am not sure what I'm doing, but it sure is fun.  In fact, I am actually feeling brave enough to venture our and try something new.

I just signed up for this art workshop and cannot wait to get my fingers messy with paints.  It is something I have wanted to do for a long time and thought this would be the perfect time to just go for it!

I am so excited.  It doesn't start until the end of the month so that gives me a little more time to experiment with what I have on hand.  With pinterest just a click away, inspiration is easy to find.

When was the last time you pulled out some crafting supplies just for fun?  If it's been a while...I double dog dare you to give it a try!

xo, Patty

  1. I have wanted to pick up some of my cross stitch projects lately. One in particular is one that my Mom started and handed to me to finish. She's been gone just over 2 yrs now and I haven't finished it yet. Sounds like a fun way to spend the day! Lucky you!

  4. That sounds like so much fun...spending time in your new room! The art you created is so pretty! Can you tell me something? And this will seem like a silly question, but I get so overwhelmed by Pinterest. Are there certain search words that you find really helpful for your crafts and art?
Congrats on your beautiful room Patty!

  5. I recently decorated a couple of wooden trays, I bought at Michaels, using mod podge. I keep meaning to post them. It was more work than I thought it would be, but loads of fun to do.

I like what you are doing here.

    :) Hope

  11. I'm so excited for you about your art class. I have never been able to paint. I look forward to seeing what you learn.
Other than fabric crafts, about the only thing crafty I have done in years is scrapbooking, but I haven't even done that since we moved.
Sounds like having your own space to create back has inspired you to stretch out.

  14. Patty,
I've been "up to my ears" in craft supplies as we prepare for a booth @ a Fall Festival!!! Instead of feeling pressure to be completed by the quickly approaching deadline...I'm savoring each medium with which I work!!! Enjoy your workshop, dear friend!!!
    Fondly,
    Pat
