Styling mint green and denim for spring - fashion friday

With the weather heating up for weeks at a time I finally put my boots away for the season and broke out my sandals.  It was kind of bittersweet because boot season is rather quick here in Southern California and I really like my boots.

But I love my growing collection of sandals as well.  The nice thing about summer shoes is that they
are usually a bit less expensive than boots so I always feel a little less guilty about indulging in a new pair or two each season.  Pair them with a pretty t-shirt, cuffed skinny jeans and some light weight jewelry and you have the makings of a really cute spring outfit.

I love the soft mint color of this striped tee that I found on sale at Nordstrom and the longer length makes it appropriate to pair with either leggings, shorts or skinny cuffed jeans.

I bought the sandals at Payless last winter on super duper clearance for a few dollars and put them away until the weather warmed up.  The jeans are my favorite Loft curvy skinny that I wear all the time.

The jewelry is all stuff I've had for a while.  The pretty necklace was actually a thrift store find that I bought for parts but once I got it home and cleaned it up, I realized it was too pretty to take apart. Now I'm glad I didn't because it matches the color of this tee perfectly.

I love all the mint green I've been seeing styled with white but I like it with blue jeans just as much.  I think keeping the jewelry light helps to keep the over all feeling of the outfit fresh and springy and the addition of the cross body bag from Nordstrom is the perfect finishing touch. (Just saw that the bags on sale right now for $18.98.)  Don't you agree?
