I'm starting off with one of my favorite t-shirt brands Croft and Barrow from Kohls in white. I've
paired it with curvy skinny jeans from Loft and added a cute tassel necklace from Walmart plus gold hoop earrings, a gold watch from Kohls and my favorite leopard flats (similar) that I wear all the time.
But just by adding a pretty floral scarf I have bumped the style factor up a notch. Don't you think?
And finally, I've left on the striped blouse, put back on the scarf and added a cute teal fringe cross body bag I found for less than $15.00 at Walmart (link in sidebar). I could totally see myself wearing this for a casual date night or dinner and a movie with my girlfriends.
Can you see how adding a few layers just boosts the outfits style factor? And it didn't take much effort at all.
This post reminded me that there is nothing wrong with jeans and a t-shirt for everyday living but by pulling a couple of things out of my closet and adding layers I can make it even better. I hope I've inspired you to do the same.
xo, Patty

I love those shoes girl. Just a touch of animal print is great. That little tassel necklace is adorable. I am so enjoying your fashion posts. Thank you Patty. Blessings for a great fun weekend. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteClearly I need to get myself to Walmart! You've found some really cute accessories there. I don't know about you but I do not pay alot for trendy accessories.
ReplyDeleteYou always look great. Pinning to my Jeans Every Day Board.
Great post, Patty. You've given me some good ideas as I live in my jeans too. I shop at Walmart all the time but usually not for fashion. Guess I'll have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteYou look so dang cute in those jeans! I'm so glad you kept blogging :) you are inspiring me to try to dress better.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, adding layers and accessories makes a big difference. I wish I weren't so accessory challenged.
ReplyDeletePatty,
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing, dear friend!
I adore how the layers just keep coming!
I just laid out my wardrobe for a Training Workshop for Saturday.
I have a white three~quarter sleeve J Jill Tee, black and white slack,
a black asymmetrical one button cape, and a bronze, copper and silver necklace,
bronze earrings, black handbag and black shortie boots.
After seeing how amazing all your layers look together,
I'm putting my geometric black, white and tan scarf into this mixture
as the weather man states it will be breezy tomorrow!
Thank you for these wonderful Fashion Friday posts!
Fondly,
Pat
Love how you put this outfit together! Perfect for spring.

ReplyDeleteSkinny jeans are most commonly associated with women's apparel. The truth is that many men enjoy the look of a tailored skinny jean. Most men that elect to don skinny jeans are typically into music or art. Skinny jeans have also become increasingly popular with high school and college-aged students. Musicians and art fanatics typically wear skinny jeans with band tees and a leather jacket and scarf. Young adults prefer to wear skinny jeans with urban athletic footwear, edgy graphic tees, and a baseball hat. Jeans
