stocking up...

10/23/13

It's getting to be that time of the year...

It won't be long now until the baking begins so I figured I may as well start stocking up.  The first thing in my pantry this year are walnuts, chocolate chips and butter.  My mom picked up a case of canned milk for her famous pumpkin pies.  What about you?  What will you stock up with for your holiday baking?

I will be seeing my grandsons this weekend, and I plan to bake cookies.

  3. I always say "It's butter season!" during the holidays. I'll buy enough butter to last the year, if possible. It usually goes on super sale then.

  5. I have some butter, some walnuts and some white chocolate chips, dried cranberries and raisins. Lots of sprinkles and cupcake/muffin liners. Think I'm OK with sugar, may need more flour and definitely more butter! And parchment paper. And quick cooking oats, and pecans. Need to shop! xo

  6. I picked up my walnuts and unsalted butter the last time I was at Costco, and a new to me type of condensed milk named, La Lechera, put out by Nestle....So much more to get too and will add to my shopping list as I decide on some new goodie recipes to try this holiday season...Can't wait. xo

  12. One of my favorite parts of the colder weather -- lots of baking. I'll stock up on flour, sugar, pumpkin, cranberries, chocolate chips, brown sugar, and vanilla. We go through all of these things quickly in the winter/holiday months! I get cranberries while I can, wash, halve, and freeze them. Then, they are available to me all winter long for my orange-cranberry bread!
