Shout out Saturday - Fashion Blogs

3/19/16

I am busy packing for a quick conference in Newport Beach, California (where it promises to be in the mid 70’s) and trying to decide which flip flops and which sandals to pack.  This trip is actually a working/planning trip for Women’s Ministry at church but the idea of getting away for a couple of days at the beach is so needed in my life right now.  The thought of three days away has me positively giddy.  I’ll be sure to take pictures of what I decide to pack and actually wear to share with you next Friday.  And just because there will be actual work going on doesn't mean there won't be some time for a little window shopping as well.

As for our Shout Out Saturday, I thought it would be fun to focus on fashion blogs today.   Even
though these ladies are younger than me, the clothes they wear are definitely something that I would buy for myself.  Sometimes that might mean I need to modify them a bit for my body shape but the style and the feel of the outfits suit me perfectly.

So let’s get started…

First up is Cyndi from Grace and Beauty.  I absolutely love everything about Cyndi’s style.  She is conscious of the appropriateness of what she wears but she still manages to keep it on trend and fun. She has a way of blending her faith with fashion and encourages inner beauty as well.  If you don't know her blog yet you are in for a treat.

Another favorite is Jo Lynne from Jo Lynne Shane.  Her fashion is perfect for real life with a dash of sass.  I get the sense from her that she truly spends time on the bleachers at sporting events and in the carpool line.  She has a bit of an edge in her appearance and I think that keeps what she wears fresh.  I know you’ll love her.

Next up is Scheaffer from Scheaffer Told Me To (formerly Pinterest told me to).  The girl is adorable and so funny.  Again, she offers up a good variety of real woman clothes.  Granted she is young and has a darling shape but the clothes easily translate to an average size women.  I think you’ll get a kick out of her and the clothes are great, too.

Lastly I want you to meet Cassie from Hi Sugarplum.  She is another young adorable thang (she’s from Texas and I’m sure they say thang).  Her taste and style are impeccable.  I almost didn’t list her as a fashion blog because she also has the most gorgeous home but I love her clothes so I’m including her with the fashion blogs.  Another funny lady, her personality shines through and I love that in a blogger no matter what kind of blog they write.

That’s it for this Shout Out Saturday.  I hope you have fun visiting these blogs.  I know you will enjoy and be inspired by them just as much as I am.  Have a great weekend and dust off your sandals, Spring is coming!

  1. Patty, This is fun. It's good to see how others style themselves. I have always loved fashion. Once when I was on a lay-off from my job, I became a fashion consultant for a jewelry company. I enjoyed it . Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
