I love collecting quotes whether it's online, in books, from my Pastor's sermons or on pinterest. Sometimes other's have a way of saying things that just make sense...that just seem to express what I'm feeling or a thought I want to keep in mind.
When I saw Joanna Gaines, The Magnolia Mom use this quote on the wall of a home she was redoing with her husband on HGTV's Fixer Uppers, (my new TV show crush) I just knew I needed to find a way to use it my home, too.
I have been playing around with painting wood signs lately, I have a couple I will be using in my kitchen redo, so I thought I'd find a piece of scrap wood and see what I could come up with.
It took a little trial and error but I think I came up with a sign I'm happy with. I found a spot to the right of my front door where I'll be hanging it. That way every time I go out, I will be sure and take this little positive reminder with me. Today is a good day for a good day!

Love it! I love the sunny yellow color and the reminder to look at each new day as a good one. Well done Patty!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Is that a Pooh saying?
ReplyDeleteI like the nice bright yellow of your sign. A friend tells his students, "Tuesday is my favourite day." The thing the children find funny is that he says it often, just substituting the name of whatever day it happens to be. No wonder they love him.

I am also a collection am also a collector of quotations. I have snippets of paper with some of my favorite stuck in and around my work space for immediate inspiration. Your sign is perfect! It is a joyful reminder that each has the potential to be a good. Have a wonderful 4th. Bonnie

ReplyDeleteI love the cheery yellow you chose for your sign, Patty.
We saw that episode, and my husband LOVES that quote! It's so optimistic, and as children if God we should have that attitude! I love your sign, and if fact I would buy one from you if I could! That is a great(!) home show we enjoy watching. :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,

Count me in as another gal that loves your sign and the quote. Some of my favorite quotes come from our grandkids. They sure do come up with some of the funniest things. Take care and have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour sign is so bright and cheery! I also love the little cup your coffee is in. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteso beautiful on that yellow background. I've seen the saying before, but yours truly is the best I've seen.
ReplyDeleteI would love that in my home too! Great color,
