a sneak peek at the kitchen cabinets...

7/21/14

Things are really coming together in the kitchen now that the cabinets are hung.  I have to admit that I did have a moment of "what was I thinking" while the second coat of paint was drying.  But now that the third coat is on and the painting is done, I am thrilled with how they turned out.

To say my kitchen is brighter and seems bigger is an understatement.

This is all I can show you (I know it's not much of a peek) without revealing too much at this stage in the game.  I decided to leave the doors off the cabinet above the refrigerator and just use the open shelf for display.

I still haven't made my final decision on a light fixture so that's still out there. I did however, convince my husband to pull out his power tools yesterday and make the final wood cuts that I needed to finish up the rest of my plans, so now it's full steam ahead.  It feels so good to have the end in sight.

I'll be back soon to show you more.  Happy Monday!

xo, Patty

  3. I know what you mean. We are still working in our kitchen and painted a fourth coat of primer on the knotty pine walls in our kitchen yesterday. We only had to give two to the insides of our cabinets. Can't wait to see when you are done.

I'm like you in that I can't wait to accessorize a space until the entire room is done. I love the look of your open cabinet and I can't wait to see the rest!
