blogging from the heart and a winner

5/1/13

Thank you all for the encouraging comments.  I know I am not the only one who wonders about the relevance of their blog.  You all confirmed what I already know...blog from the heart and others will "get" it.

What's touching me now, what's tickling my funny bone or gnawing at my gut is going to resonate with someone whether they are there now or have been there before.

We were designed to be social creatures and one of the great things about blogging is that even when our family and local friends think we are extremely weird and needy, there are women out there who are just as weird unique as we are.  At the risque of sounding like Dr. Phil, we all need to have our feelings validated once in a while.  If you have both in the flesh and cyber supporters in your life as I do, you are blessed indeed.

I guess in the end we just want to know that we are not alone...we are not as crazy as we feel sometimes.

Now on to the give away.  I had my grandson help me choose a number and we went with his favorite NASCAR driver...#88.

That's you,  Sally from Drinking from My Saucer.  Congratulations!  Send me an email with your mailing address and I will get the loot shipped out to you.  (Lemonlanecottage@yahoo.com)

Tomorrow is moving day for my daughter and grandson so I am sure I will be popping my needy self in at some point for a little encouragement.  Have a wonderful Wednesday.

xo, Patty

  5. Hi there, I understand what you mean about blogging; however when we first moved to a new state and I didn't know a soul, was so desperately lonely, blogging filled my heart and life. There are times when I feel overwhelmed by trying to get to so many to read and say hi, sometimes I fail but I can't imagine not connecting.
I hope your day goes well; sorry that your daughter and grandson are moving-may you have peace.
    Hugs, Noreen

  9. Patty - It is nice to get a little encouragement ever so often. We probably ought to do it to our fellow bloggers a little more often.
