So I began doodling and painting and then doodling some more and this is what I came up with...
What do you think? This is just one of the little things I've been tinkering with around here. I have been toying with the idea of switching to wordpress but I am just not sure this old brain is ready for that. I am having a case of the "if ain't broken then don't fix its". We'll see...
No telling what I'll come up with next now that I am creatively inspired.

I think it's a fun header, Patty! A friend and I are taking 4 watercolour classes this month, but I have yet to show any talent. I think I'll fiddle with some at home, though, and experiment a little.

I have been a quieter reader of your blog since I have been on a blogging break, but really do enjoy your posts.
ReplyDeleteNow I need to tell you something that you might think is a little strange. You creating your blog header is an answer to prayer. You see, I am an artist, (when I 'm not busy homeschooling my children) and I create both on paper and in my graphics art program. I have been having the hardest time creating a blog header for my own blog, (and I have already created dozens of designs that just don't look right.)
For the last several weeks, I have been praying in frustration over not being able to create the design I want for my blog, (as trite as that seems) but in response I keep getting,
"Draw and paint something on paper and skip the graphics."
(Ironically I create free blog headers that look just fine for others!)
And yet, in my own artistic insecurities and perfectionism, I keep ignoring the whole "draw and paint something on paper thing" and strive in vain on my graphics program. After another futile attempt today, I got the same thing. "Draw something!"
And then, your blog header and post popped up in my reader after taking a break!
So thank you for being brave enough to draw your own! It's very bright and cheery, and it is in step with the style of your Etsy creations!
On a side note, I know many are going with Wordpress, but I also know that Wordpress sites are constantly being hacked, and without proper support, can be a real source of frustration and a time sucker.
I use to be on Wordpress, but came back to Blogger!

Thank you Leah Rose. Isn't wonderful how God creatively answers our prayers through others. The painting and doodling is mine and then I just added the graphic text in photo editing. It was a lot of fun...Good luck creating one unique to you!
