I spent the last couple of days in the kitchen baking up a storm.
Friday I made Chocolate Chip cookies, Oatmeal Butterscotch cookies and Oatmeal Cranberry White Chocolate and Walnut cookies. Yesterday I focused on candies and pies making Salty Carmel's, Sugar Coated Nuts and a Pecan Pie.
Now the fun of packaging up all this sweetness begins.
I have been saving plastic produce containers all year long knowing that they would be perfect to hold my Christmas cookies. I actually got the idea from sweet Trish over at Notes of Sincerity and it worked perfectly.
Let the festivities begin...
xo, Patty

ReplyDeleteHi Patty. Looks like you and I are on the same schedule!! I have been doing my baking and packing too. I save those large clear containers too. Guess what I do with them? I keep my fabric stacks nice and clean in them!! But they do have many uses! I am all for repurposing them as well. What a great way to give your holiday treats!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas. I will be holding you close in my heart, knowing that it being the first one without your Dear Dad, and how hard that is.
Being together as a family is the only soothing balm there is.
We hope to see Les Mis on Christmas night, on our way home from my Mom's.
Merry Christmas sweet friend. I love ya,
Kris
Your goodies look yummy! Wishing you a joyous Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI just finished my cookies. I saved those containers also . Only last night I got carried away and did the top of lids purple and red with nylon ruffles and very small beads threaded for my fav neighbor and I made cds for them to watch of themeselves. I sneeked and took them all summer and last winter. Put captions on each picture with each picture having the sldes go different directions. Was a ball doing it. . They will be surprised. I love giving alott more then getting back. Yet my Mom said I had to learn it is good to get back as it makes them feel just as proud to give to me. These people do not bake. They have way too busy life working.Your cookies look lovely and your Christmas balls in the dish. Thanks for sharing. I forgot to take a picture of my display I gave them. oh well. Next year.
