vintage love

12/17/11

Let me start this post with the disclaimer that I should be doing one hundred different things other than playing with my vintage goodies.

In the midst of getting ready for Christmas my hubby and I decided to transfer my craft studio into the sun room and his music room into my old space.  I have been itching to do this for a while, I just didn't plan on his motivation taking place in the middle of December.

If your honey is anything like mine, when the inspiration strikes you happily go along.

It has been so much fun rediscovering little bits of vintage goodness that I'd forgotten I had and I couldn't resist putting a little tin together for a friend.

I just love how it turned out and almost hated to give it away...

What about you...are you sticking to task or have you decided to play a little Christmas hooky, too?

Happy Saturday, Patty

  5. i understand the hubby issue ...because my hubby is the same way. so when he wants to clean or get something done, shopping, or even traveling... we get to it. because i know we will never do it otherwise. what fun to get a new space for your crafting. always enjoy your moments of doing what you wish. it makes life such fun. (:

  7. What fun Patty! I wish I could say I was playing too, but I have been out shopping ALL day. I am sitting here now with feet up, enjoying a cup of coffee and a little peeking into my blogs. We have a Christmas Party tonight, and I wish we could just sit by the fire and relax.
Happy sewing in your new space!

  8. If you are giving the cute tin away, then you didn't get distracted. It just took a while to find all your supplies! It's always amazing how many new ideas I come up with whenever I move my stuff fron one room to another, which I have done a few times.

I've been busy all month and it doesn't look like I'll get a break this week. I almost can't wait until the day after Christmas when things will slow down a bit!

Hope you have a wonderful holiday!

  11. My hubby is the same :) Playing in your studio is probably a good diversion from the busyness of this time of year anyway.
Have a wonderful and relaxing weekend!

  12. I played today. I checked some blogs, met with friends, and avoided shopping for a few gifts. I want to do the latter, I just thought I'd stay out of the way on this busy Saturday! :)

  13. Hi Patty, thank you for stopping by my blog and your kind comments. I am now a follower here too. I am a craft person too and really like your vintage goodies. I have just bought a tin like this one for $2 from our Cheap as Chips shop,so you have given me an idea. I think when it's decorated I may fill it with homemade biscuits. I too am getting a little disstracted from the hype of decorating. xx Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. jeanetteann

  17. Your vintage craft supplies look very pretty. You're lucky to have your own craft room! I have to use the kitchen table. ha! I wish I had time to play Christmas hooky. I've still got some things to take care of and then I MIGHT be able to.
