The rain has stopped and the sun is shining brightly in the most beautiful blue sky this morning. I just love the day after a downpour, don't you? There is something about the contrast from gray skies to blue that allows hope to sneak in...
Even though my circumstances haven't changed one bit, my attitude has and sometimes that's all that is needed.
Sometimes we only need to wipe the sleep out of our eyes and change our focus and suddenly...
it's a whole new day!
It was such a gorgeous day. Are you off any days soon and want to get a coffee? Let me know. I understand though if you are too busy with the holiday so we can do it after Christmas too.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the sunshine coming out. My mood brightens as well! Praying you have a blessed day, my friend!
ReplyDeleteLeslie :)

ReplyDeleteIt's good that you are keeping positive, I hope things work out, whatever they may be. Your photos are lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a shining spirit!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you, I love this nativity scene, hope things are improving day by day. xo
ReplyDeleteYour little nativity is so.. sweet.
ReplyDeleteAnd your home looks so cheery. I'm still admiring that accent fabric you chose for your pillows, etc.
It just adds so much cheeriness to your home.
I don't know your circumstances, but I sometimes feel like after raising four children and having been marreied almost 38 years I've been through it all...I'm praying for you.
Blessings to you-Kimberly
Hey there, We could use some rain up here. It's been dry since before Thanksgiving and we're three inches below normal in rain totals. I hope whatever is worrying you will work itself out. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThe sun does help so much!!

What a great post! Thank you for your sweet outlook on things and for the reminder to enjoy the daily blessings in our lives.
ReplyDeleteI've been busy with family and holiday plans and have missed a few of your posts.
I'll be making time to go back and read them all :)
I did get to read the post about small houses.
I'm learning how to appreciate our small home, and love it.
Our home is around 2000 sq. ft ... the smallest we've ever had.
But, you are right.. editing, working with colors that work all year rounds, and dual purpose areas are just the key to having a charming, cozy and homey cottage :)
Sunny skies after a rain are delightful and I love the smell in the air too.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you ~ it's all in the attitude ;-) It's raining here ~ sigh ~ oh well ~ tra la la ;-)
ReplyDeleteLord bless you Patty, always feel uplifted by your posts
ReplyDeleteLots of love Karen x
