a little sunshine

So happy to hear so many of you have begun to experience a little sunshine and the hope that comes with it.  There is nothing quite like those first shoots and blossoms of spring to put a little pep in your step and a smile on your face.

I was lucky enough to spend a couple of days with my sister, who is visiting from Texas, over the weekend.  To wake up to the chatter of her and my mom whispering over their morning coffee is one of the most cherished sounds I know and one that I hope never to take for granted.

I got home today to a couple of my honey do's completed by my sweet man and a stack of 2 x 4 blocks that he cut for me piled nicely on my studio table just waiting for a quiet moment to be able to stop and create.

Sometimes (scratch that) always...it is so nice to take a minute and appreciate the joy and beauty that is right under our noses.

Happy Monday all!

xo, Patty

  1. The simple things are the best. And family are just that.

  2. Anen, Patty...those are always the best things. I envy you listening to your Mom and sister whisper over their coffee. I never had that. xo Diana

  3. Hi Patty. I am also enjoying the coming of Spring. Even though I really wanted the winter to stay longer. We didn't have enough of it for my taste!
What a nice hubby you have too!
PS Love that floral blouse in previous post. I have a few that I bought a couple of years ago, and they my first go to blouses in the Spring!
    XO Kris

  4. Everything looks beautiful around your place! We are so looking forward to some blooms around here. Although Emma noticed this morning that the snow drops are in bloom. It's a start!

  5. Glad you got to spend some time with your sister and your mom - and to come home to some things being done by your hubby is just icing on the cake!
