vintage sheets in the mix

11/6/13

I have shared my love of vintage sheets over the years time and time again.  I just can't resist picking them up when I am out thrifting.  They are one of the things I never purge and one of the few things left that I will buy even if I don't have a use for it at the moment.

With my recent reduction and re-organization of my craft studio I decided that I needed to add a little more pattern to the room.  What better way than with vintage sheets...

Since this is a working space dedicated just to crafting (I know lucky me), there was no need for throw pillows or a cute little lap quilt, so just how was I going to incorporate the vintage sheets into the mix?

My first thought was to make a new curtain for the window but then I remembered that my sister in law gifted me with the most gorgeous cabbage rose floral that would be perfect for that.

After a little thinking and some handiwork from my hubby, I believe I came up with the perfect way to display their vintage goodness.  Now it is just a matter of getting it from my brain to it's destination so that I can share it with you.

In the meantime, I still have to throw a few things in my suitcase for my visit with my sis in the Lone Star State.  I am hoping to post from there but sometimes we get to talking and eating and well, you know how that goes.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

xo, Patty

  5. Love your collection.
Looking forward to seeing the creative way that you are going to display them all.

I wish that they still made sheets the way that they used to. They had a great feel about them..... almost starched like, but still soft :)
