a busy, busy week

11/12/13

This is going to be one of those busy, busy weeks...happy busy, but busy for sure.  I am having my second Makerie party (thank you Jen for that term, I just love it!).  This time it's a Christmas Makerie and I am so excited about the two crafts we will be doing.

I have spent the last few weeks gathering vintage doo-dads and whimsical what-nots to share with my friends.  I can't share the end products with you because they are a surprise for my guests but I thought I'd show you a few pictures of what's going into them.

If you have been reading this blog for any amount of time you know that I am knee deep in schedules and time lines.  My family has taken to ducking behind doorways when they see me and forget about making eye contact.  There is much to do and I can get a little bossy and maybe even a tad bit hyper the week before I entertain.

I call it nervous energy and I feed off of it.  I am a happy, happy girl when guests are coming.  Today is all about the final shopping lists and I have four stores to get to today after morning bible study.

Do you have any get togethers scheduled in the near future?  I hope so, nothing starts the holiday season off better than a little girl time.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

xo, Patty

  2. Sounds like you're having a lot of fun with this. Living a "purpose-filled" life.

  3. That looks like such fun! I have so much company coming in the next 3 weeks that it is making me slightly sick to my stomach. I'm at the point where I'm starting to just delete things from my to do list because there is no possible way it's all going to happen. I'm mostly looking forward to my Christmas Jubilee party which is going to be a much smaller gathering this year of just 4 of us but it is going to be a slumber party and how fun will that be?!
