It would be in perfect keeping with the eclectic, granny, bohemian look I have going on in there already.
I want it to be a mixture of things to add interest and dimension.
And practically speaking, it is above our main seating sofa so I don't want anything that might come crashing down if a pillow or two gets tossed.
Here's the collection of stuff I've come up with so far. I think I did pretty well. I've laid them out on the floor and know that I will need to come up with a couple of original art pieces and paint a few frames and maybe a couple more thrift store paintings but I think I'm going to love it.
I'd love to see any pictures or links to gallery walls that you have on your boards or in your home. Send me the link in my comments and I'll come by and visit.
Have a colorful Monday.

ReplyDeleteI love that red plate too. Maybe some are not keen on hanging plates on the wall, but I for one, really like hanging plates :)
Great to have pinterest and other sources for inspiration.
Enjoy this week, and this "Thankful" time of year :)

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your gallery wall. I do love them but don't have one in this house- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI USED to have one in the home that I lived in when I was raising my boys. Actually I had two, now that I think of it. I had alot of pictures arranged as you went up the stairs, and then I had a large area in the living room done that way as well. Back then, you got your film developed and either displayed pics in a photo album or on the wall and I had lots and lots of pictures to display ! :) They'd range from old photos of great-grandparents to my boys baby pics to pics of them at whatever age and year they were at the time.
ReplyDeleteI like your wall and your colorful room...bright, cheery and fun! :)
Oops I thought yours was the first room :) Well then that's my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteIf you use what you have in the last picture, you will definitely love it (so will we!). You've got lots of great inspiration!

I have had a look through your blog and it is simply charming! I love your decorating style, it's colourful and cheerful. My favourite two things! I also pinned lots of your images, mostly Christmas, if you would prefer that I didn't let me know and I will be happy to delete them.
