I met a couple of my girlfriends for breakfast and a little life catch up conversation last week at a local restaurant. It had been a while since we got together and it felt really good to see them and to hear how their families are doing. I have always enjoyed the company of women so these times are really important to me.
These particular friends and I have know each other for many years so they would not have batted an
eye if I showed up in my gardening grubbies but since I don't get to see them very often I thought it was the perfect time to wear this pretty lace sleeved paisley print t-shirt (same) that I ordered from JCPenney.
It is a little more fitted than I am used to but the fabric has a bit of spandex in it so it holds it's shape nicely without being too clingy. I paired it with these dark wash skinny jeans (same) and my favorite blue espadrille slides (same).
For jewelry I kept it simple with a pretty gold tassel necklace (similar), a gold stacked bracelet (similar) (similar), gold drop earrings (similar) and watch (same and at a great sale price).
I love a top with a pretty print on it like this paisley t-shirt because accessorizing it doesn't take much thought, just keep it simple.
Speaking of gathering with girlfriends, I don't know it I ever told you what a fan of the cooking network, especially the shows that introduce you to the hosts friends and family. Even though I am not the greatest cook in the world I do find inspiration in the hospitality and friendships they encourage. In fact, I think I'll work on a blog segment featuring my favorite food show life hacks and invite a few friends over to join in.
What do you think? Want to join me? Wouldn't that be great? Hmmm....now how to make that happen. Stay tuned...
xo, Patty

Absolutely love this Patty. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful top, I like the lace detail!
ReplyDeleteI love paisley! The top at the Penney's website shows a plain front.. I like the paisley front better. I have a large chest so don't like to wear plain t-shirts very often. And I"m in love with those dark wash skinny jeans! love love love them but too pricey for me... darn.... I'm a seamstress from way back (clothes) but haven't made anything for years (to wear)... am starting to think on making a pair of skinny jeans with just a stretch waist and add pockets... I'm sure would be doable and not that hard and much more affordable. I love how your pose for your photos too! I'm not much into recipes and the food networks, though I did love "Chopped". Good show. I used to enjoy cooking somewhat but don't so much anymore. Anything fast and easy is what I like,..... or eating leftovers is even better! I do like to make gluten free desserts though as I have to eat totally gluten free.
ReplyDeleteThose jeans are perfect for you!
