It's hard to believe it's Wednesday already and that we are less than a week away from school starting here. I guess that's why I have been so busy trying to cram as much of summer as possible into the last week.
My grandson stayed with me for a couple of days so there have been trips to the park, a quick stop for ice cream, adventure walks around the neighborhood, with a stop off at our famous local donut shop and an afternoon in the swimming pool.
I even got to spend some time with my granddaughter. All in all a perfectly wonderful way to wind down summer.
I am a little hesitant to mention fall, as the possibility of triple digit weather is still very real here on the West Coast, but it does seem to be in the air. September will be here soon enough ushering in my favorite time of the year.
But for now, I think I'll just savor what's left of summer with the enthusiasm my grandson enjoys ice cream. Come to think about it, isn't that how life should be lived in any season?
xo, Patty
We started yesterday here! I know what you mean about the weather. It feels almost fall like in the mornings and evenings, but I know those scorchers are right around the corner. I can't help but be excited for Fall though. I have my pumpkin spice Glade thingies in the wall sockets, and my Fall candles at the ready!!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!!! Cute pics of your little one!!

School starts here the week after next. Too early as far as I am concerned. Although we don't have triple digits it can be in the 90's in August. Some schools don't have A/C. I shared some ice cream with two of my grands this week. They are moving back to Ohio from Colorado and this Grammy is so excited. Have a good week-end.
ReplyDeleteIt seems we all really rush from one season to the next instead of enjoying the moment. I am ready for cooler weather but will enjoy the heat for now and not rush fall.

What a wonderful time spent with grand kids. Great way to end the summer. We are in the low 70's here already, and in the 40's at night. It sure feels like fall here.
ReplyDeleteI so agree with you, every season is special and here we are trying to enjoy the last bit of Summer too. Schools start in less than a week and temparatures (though high in the day) are beginning to drop at night. I shall love Autunm too, when it arrives. Try to live the moment for all it's worth. Lovely to see a child enjoying ice cream isn't it, sweet little boy. All the best and happy weekend, Pam xx
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to see the seasons turning but as you say savor every moment ~ Sarah x
