next week

6/12/13

Next week I am going to close the door to my craft room and really begin to tackle a few things on my to do list.  I have been on a creative binge and have neglected my poor house so that now there is no way to rearrange the stacks and hide the dust bunnies any longer.


I have been sewing up a storm and working on some fun mixed media projects including this one.


Isn't she pretty?  I think she may be my favorite girl so far.


I will be teaching this Julie Nutting stamp panel at my next mixed media class on June 22nd here in Southern California. 


I am also having a couple of girlfriends over for a beginners quilt class that I think I will be opening up to all of you as a sew along.  How about it?  Ever wanted to learn how to make a basic quilt but didn't know where to begin?  I will have all the details for you on Monday and we will get started soon there after.

    I would love to see what you post about quilting. I need to learn all I can. My house is a mess to due to some repairs being made. Love the artwork.

    I hear you, Patty. Your creative pieces are wonderful and that means the creative juices have been flowing. You can't deny that and the housework can wait. I just went on a quick/deep cleaning spree today, too. I am going to take a little road trip with the girls and wanted to leave a clean house- xo Diana

    Haha, I soooo do that Patty! Get all wrapped up in the latest project(s) and come up for air to find my house needs a little (Lot!) TLC. Hurry so you can get back to your art! Lol. Your classes sound great, I wish there had been a really basic how to quilt around when I decided to dabble in it. And maybe there was but I didn't see it? At any rate, I would love to see a tutorial because I am still such a beginner!
