We are not much of a Super Bowl family. In fact, I don't even think I saw a single play on Sunday. Instead we took advantage of our beautiful 70 degree weather and headed outdoors to do a little yard work and watch the grand kids play.
I am always amazed at how easily they can entertain themselves outside. They took turns spying out ants and squirting them to death with a little plastic squirt bottle.
I love the intensity on Emily's face here. I don't know exactly what she saw but she sure was focused on it.
And little people feet in flip-flops? Adorable...
Any outdoor questions are best taken to the one who knows everything...grandpa.
I wish we could just capture days like this in a bottle to pull out when the skies of life turn grey.
Given the clouds we've had the last few days and the promise of rain on Friday, I am so glad we headed outside. There will be another Super Bowl but who knows how many days like this we'll have. Given the choice, I would much rather watch my grand kids exploring on a sunny day anytime.

It was so gorgeous that day. Your yard is looking good back there. You just need a coop.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just amazing to see things as children see them? They see things so simple and entertaining. And I love those little precious feet in flip flops!! (I still call them thongs and my older grandchildren just shriek!!).
