Honestly, I am afraid of the snowball affect it will have on the rest of the house. You know how that goes, right? Once that roller hits the wall there is no going back. And then once you finish one room the others start to look pretty drab in comparison. Then once all the walls are painted everything else starts to look a little dated and dingy.
I think I'll make the rest of the changes and hold off on the paint. The yellow walls aren't looking so bad to me right now.
I have a lot of fun things coming up that I need to prepare for so maybe I'll paint next month or the month after that or the month after that...

You are not alone, Patty. Painting is not my favorite thing. I have one side of my cabinets painted on the inside and still need to do the other side! Ugh...

ReplyDeleteI actually don't mind painting! Usually it takes a room getting painted for that same room to get the good cleaning it needs. Because furniture then needs to be moved and then cleaned under. Maybe I should repaint more often!

How I hear ya! That snowball affect is something that I deal with here all the time. Fix one room, the rest look awful!!! And so it goes. I usually save my painting for Spring anyway, so all the windows can be open and the paint dries fast! I say, put it off til Spring!!!

ReplyDeleteOh no . . . you are not alone. I blame it on the wintertime blues . . . I think that a big dose on sunshine would really help with motivation. I am not a natural procrastinator, but this time of year brings out the worst in me. I do agree with you about the snowball effect . . . but nothings wrong with that:)

Yes I think you have diagnosed what I am ailing with right now.
ReplyDeleteIt happens with all of our projects. My husband calls it the domino affect! One project leads to another and another. I like seeing your orange juice glasses and pitcher. I had a set like that when we married in 78. I worked in a grocery store and bought a few at a time each week when I got paid. Every time I see some in a thrift store, I smile......next time I see some, I'm going to buy them!

You are not alone, my friend. I am the worlds biggest procrastinator. Especially if it doesn't involve sewing. I looked at my garden the other day and I know I can't procrastinate on that much longer. Easter is just around the corner. Oh My!!
