He has such a sweet heart and loves to surprise the special people in his life with their favorite things. For his pop-pop he will ask to make a batch of chocolate chip cookies, for his mommy he will paint a picture and while we were visiting my mom (his great grandma) last week he insisted we cut her some flowers so that when she looked at them, she would think of him.
As for me, he knows the quickest way to my heart is always through the garden.
He's right. That's why when I spotted this pretty cup from Anthrpologie on Jen's blog months ago, I knew it would someday make it's way into my online shopping cart.
Pretty cute, huh? It was the perfect indulgence and the final accent for my dining room. I can't wait for the weather to cool a bit so that I can whip up a batch of scones, brew up some tea, curl under a quilt and fritter the day a way. Never been much of a fritterer but it does sound wonderful...

Patty, I was trying to love the story but seriously distracted by that gorgeous cup! No seriously, he sounds precious. Little boys are so sweet. I miss when mine were little...always bringing flowers or bugs. :)

ReplyDeleteI'm not a fritterer either, but sometimes I dream of it.
I would either sit in the hammock swing in warm weather, or inside with a quilt in cold weather, with a Grace Livingston Hill book and an endless stream of Hershey's kisses or milk duds to consume. Or peruse an Old House magazine.
Maybe some coffee or tea to go with the chocolate.
I tend to fritter too much, and I love apple fritters, not good either! Your gson is a sweetie. xo

ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie that grandson is!! Oh to fritter. I tried to last night. I sat down with my crocheting in a comfy chair outside. Feet up relaxing and then that brain kicked and reminded me of several things I should be doing. So that fritter didn't last long. My mother always said I wasn't a good sitter!
ReplyDeleteI love pretty cups and mugs! My perfect day would be to spend it in my cozy Home with a cup of my favorite latte' and little munchie and a good book or craft to work on....with No interruptions! What a sweet little guy to make sure you have fresh flowers! I love that!

I'm not much of a fritterer either, but you know how I love just watching my kids play or playing with them. Lately some time spent just listening to my Jr.Hi granddaughter talk to me about school, volleyball and her friends...love that.
