This time I started gathering sheets and pillow cases and realized that I was collecting with a purpose.
Before I knew it, I had put together a new look for our master bedroom.
Now that I see it all laid out next to my $4.00 oil painting, I am more sure than ever. I love it...the red and yellow color scheme is such an obvious choice . The muted colors all faded and comfy looking just speak to my cottage soul.
Now if I can just find an old chenille bedspread to top it all off. Or even a vintage looking spread...maybe some butter cream walls...I feel a painting job coming on. Oh, how I wish I didn't hate painting walls. If the mister didn't already have such a long to do list I might try to talk him into it but that would make this bedroom redo happen sometime in 2013.
The last thing I was looking for was a new project but when vintage linens call, what's a girl to do?
Actually this girl has a few irons in the fire I have to finish up first but who doesn't love a fun project in planning stages?
What plans do you waiting in the wings?
xo, Patty
Good Morning Patty,
ReplyDeleteWhat great finds!
I think I have some pillow cases that are similar to the red plaid that you have in the far right of the picture. Love reds, yellows, and plaids !
Your bedroom is going to be darling!!
You know I'd help you paint, if I lived closer.
Can't wait to see how it turns out.
I'm going to try to get a coat of paint on the picnic table today :)
Can't wait to see what is on the table. Bonnie
ReplyDeleteLove the colors!! And mixed with a chenille spread??? Yummy! Though I kinda feel bad for your hubby :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend! xoxo Debbie

ReplyDeleteI have a butter yellow chenille spread that would be great with this!...

ReplyDeleteYou have put everything together with such a great eye for design and color. Can you come to New York? My goal is to set up a craft area, but it's still in the thinking stage.
ReplyDeleteHi Patty....I truly believe in the old adage...'a girl'd gotta do ..what a girl's gotta do' stick with it kid!! Joan

ReplyDeleteHi PATTY,
ReplyDeleteYesterday I was using the cupcake wrappers you sent me. Such a nice package you sent me.
I see lots of sheets at the thrift store I never think to buy them, guess I better think again, yours look so nice.
How do you make your pictures the size they are? Mine are smaller.
