procrastination

4/26/12

It seems I have so many projects going at one time that I am having trouble finishing any of them.  Does this ever happen to you?  I have at least one thing half way done in each room of my house but I'm not feeling especially motivated.

Please tell me I'm not alone in this...

That explains these random Easter photos of my grand daughter and nephew that have nothing to do with this post.

I have started a list of unfinished projects and first off is the living room.

I have a little bit of sewing, a couple of easy painting projects and one faux mantel to put together.  I'm hoping today will be a productive day.

The weather has cleared a little bit so I think I will tackle the painting first.

But that means closing my computer...I think I'll heat up my coffee and go visiting for a little bit and then get started.  (Yes, I know...I'm still procrastinating).

xo, Patty

  1. I am so with you on so many projects -- all half finished -- and a little overwhelming to figure out what to do next. I have such a backlog of blogging to do that it will all be seriously "old news" by the time I sit down to do it! But these garden and house jobs need to take priority.

    Your granddaughter is beautiful.

  2. I am well acquainted with procrastination. However, today I've gone to a cardio/stretching class to do something for my health and that feels good! Now it's a matter of getting off this chair and doing some housework! Have fun with your painting, Patty.

  3. Procrastination is my middle name. My sister gave me a little sign that say, Nothing would get done if it wasn't for the last minute. Yes, last minute is my last name.

So just call me June Procrastination Last Minute!! YEP, that's my name!

By the way your grand kids are beautiful!!!

  4. Oh yes, I am a big procrastinator. I have all kinds of project, half done, or not even started that I want to get done. Today though I am going to go out and spray dandelions in my yard.

  6. Adorable grandchildren . . . I would love to dig in the dirt, move stones into the new garden, cut more wood for the fire pit. . . but I have to force myself to procrastinate with my injured finger hand. Woe is me . . . You are welcomed to stop here for a visit . . .

  8. I've been there. But it makes me feel very flustered when it happens, so I try to make lists and cross out each thing as it is done. There is something about putting a big fat line through the accomplished task that feels so good!

  10. Hi PATTY,
I think its natures way of saying, for heaven sakes sit down and read a book, you had a few creative days now give it a rest. Even if we don't like it.

  13. I have been a procrastinator all my life!!! I don't like it but I have not been able to change the fact that I work well under pressure (or, as I have gotten older) simply do not see the need to do it all!! lol xo

  15. I hope it will encourage you when you know that Joe and I have been peeling wallpaper off the master bedroom wall for 18 months. We are pitiful.

  17. I thought I was the queen of procrastination. The computer and all these lovely blogs don't help at all. In fact they keep me away from posting on my blog. I need a time line and I'm all over it. Maybe because those who are so busy have so many things to do. We just look for a better time to do the best we can. Ready for the weekend to catch up.

  19. I am a huge procrastinator! But I agree with one of comments above...when you have little ones around it is more important to spend time with them than just about anything else!!

  20. Wonderful pics of the kiddos... I too have so many things to do and tend to write these lil reminder notes to myself and then I spend half of my time looking for them.... then I just have a cup of tea, relax and of course procrastinate.... lol :)

  21. Ack I was just saying to myself that I have waaaay too many unfinished projects hanging over me and it's getting to the point where I can't get anything done because it's too overwhelming. Plus I haven't blogged regularly in a while. But real life takes priority.

I think I'll heat up some coffee and read a chapter in my book :)
