Once you've experienced an empty nest or been out on your own, you become accustomed to a certain way of life...certain freedoms that can be difficult to give up. So bare with me as we make adjustments to new schedules and
And did I mention baby number two (and grandchild number three) is due to join us any day now. So our house of two will soon become a house of five and all the joyful noise that goes with it!
Buckle your seat belts, I can tell it's going to be a bumpy ride!

Oh the fun you will have on that bumpy ride! I know what you mean about being accustomed to empty nesting and freedom of time. Our oldest moved home again....with her puppy, which I seem to be spending more time with because she has a full time job. Granted it's a puppy, not a "grandchild", he takes ALOT of time and patience. Good luck with your new cozy living arrangements, I'm sure everything will work out! Keep us posted on all the changes!
ReplyDeleteThat's life, isn't it? We've learned that they leave and come back a few times. We have one here now too. :)
ReplyDeleteOh boy Patty. Big changes. But oh a new baby. Nothing like them. I want to come visit when the baby is ready for visitors.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your soon to be new grandchild!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you feel. Our son and his wife and 3 kids moved half away across the country to take a position as youth pastor with our church. With the high price of rent in our area, well, they moved in with us. Then baby # 4 arrived. It was an adjustment. That was 2007 and they are still here. We ended up finishing out our daylight basement for them and enjoy watching the kids grow. I know the Lord will see you through this time and has prepared unexpected blessing for you.

Oh Patty. I know exactly how you are feeling. Believe me. It is like we have lived the same thing, you and I. Over and over again. Of course, every new baby is cause for celebration! And that will be a joyful time. But also, it will be a hectic time. We have GOT to get together!!!!

ReplyDeleteI know it will be a transition, and saw that precious baby on facebook. There is nothing like them. I also have a girl and a boy, and let me tell you that little boy loves his sister! I'm sure yours will too. Looking forward to hearing more from you in the days ahead.
