Happy New Year. To spite the fact that my big accomplishment for today is that I am up and dressed, (yes, I did succumb to the nasty cold bug) I am all over the thought of a fresh new year.
January 1st always brings with it a slew of new hopes and dreams and the chance to accomplish anything we set out minds to.
I haven't had the clearest of minds thanks to the cold meds and feverish moments that have been my constant companion, so my pondering and reflection over 2013 will be a bit delayed as will my list of goals for 2014.
I do know that I have set my mind upon taking 2014 full steam ahead, facing each day head on...
not shying away from the tough stuff...
and being thankful in all things.
Like these camellias, each year brings with it new growth and new opportunities to provide beauty to the world around us.
xo, Patty
I like the fresh sense of hope that January 1st brings. Here's wishing you a speedy trip back to good health, Patty.

I hope you soon recover from your virus and can start making your fresh plans for 2014 xx
ReplyDeleteJust off the porch of my childhood home was a giant camellia bush. They are beautiful and such a sweet reminder for me. Cheers to new growth!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you've been sick. With your attitude you have a great start taking on the new year. Looking forward to following all your accomplishments.
ReplyDeleteHappy New year!!! Feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI had a cold through Christmas that I'm just getting over. I think I caught it from the grandkids. Take care with lots of hot tea and perhaps some chicken soup.
ReplyDeleteThe deer wont leave my camellia bushes alone. They're just stems right now. I'm glad to see your beautiful flowers instead.

Sorry you have a nasty cold! Those camelia are beautiful. I can't wait until we have warm weather again- that is about 4 months away for us- xo Diana
