january 1st

1/1/14

Happy New Year.  To spite the fact that my big accomplishment for today is that I am up and dressed, (yes, I did succumb to the nasty cold bug) I am all over the thought of a fresh new year.

January 1st always brings with it a slew of new hopes and dreams and the chance to accomplish anything we set out minds to.

I haven't had the clearest of minds thanks to the cold meds and feverish moments that have been my constant companion, so my pondering and reflection over 2013 will be a bit delayed as will my list of goals for 2014.

I do know that I have set my mind upon taking 2014 full steam ahead, facing each day head on...

not shying away from the tough stuff...

and being thankful in all things.

Like these camellias, each year brings with it new growth and new opportunities to provide beauty to the world around us.

xo, Patty

  3. Just off the porch of my childhood home was a giant camellia bush. They are beautiful and such a sweet reminder for me. Cheers to new growth!

  6. I had a cold through Christmas that I'm just getting over. I think I caught it from the grandkids. Take care with lots of hot tea and perhaps some chicken soup.
The deer wont leave my camellia bushes alone. They're just stems right now. I'm glad to see your beautiful flowers instead.
