I new I wasn't the only one fascinated with how women before me lived. I've always thought I was born into the wrong generation, that my thoughts on home were better suited for my grandmother's time. Now, after reading your comments I wonder if that's true? Could it be that there are a lot of women living right now that have been fed a load of horse manure as to what women of the 21st century want and what is important to us?

ReplyDeletesounds interesting! I think we just THINK their times were simpler. My Grandfather use to say"you can have the good ole days, I'll stay here today!" He like his modern conviences!

Im old fashioned, even tho I had to work....I would have much rather stayed home....I think a household runs so much smoother when theres someone there to keep it running....now I can stay home and Im the happiest person alive!!!! I know there are gals that would rather work, thats fine, Im just not one of them!
ReplyDeleteFunny, I have always thought I was born in the wrong era as well.. I love the era of the 40's.. home was simple yet elegant.. No need for all the noise that the gadgets of the world bring in, night time was spent at home with the family.. The simple things is what made life wonderful even when there wasn't enough money to go around..
