reflecting

7/9/11

Early each morning I go out and take a walk in the garden, hose in hand, and reflect.  It's a time to let my mind wander from the minutia to the pressing things in life.



There really isn't much to do out here as the hot weather dictates that the garden is pretty much on it's own.  But my time in the garden is still needed...

The renewal it brings is still there. 
The peace it provides is still there. 
The nourishment it yields is still there.

Every soul needs a quiet time of reflection.  Be sure you find yours today.  Have a wonderful weekend.

    You have said so beautifully what a garden means to me; mine is still a work in progress, but I can't resist being in it each day. Your meandering pathway is absolutely wonderful!

    My gardens are my place for solitude and when I'm puttering away, I forget about everything else.
    I wish my walkway was as neat and tidy as yours but we got the stone free as there are fields of it up north on a friend's property.

    Very nice reminder for us all.
    I see my favorite of flowers on your pathway-the geranium.
    They remind me of cottage window boxes or clay pots in a cheerful kitchen area.
