A LITTLE HALLOWEEN GATHERING

10/27/17

I invited a few girlfriends over for little Halloween gathering last night and I wanted to share all the festive decor I came up using mostly Dollar Tree or hand crafted goodies.  This shin dig has been in my head and the preparation stages for over a month so I've had plenty of time to gather a little of this and a little of that plus come up with a crafty gift or two for my guests.

The list maker in me loves a little party planning and this get together was no exception.  After
contacting my friends I decided to make it a sweet or savory potluck with each guest bringing one or the other to share.

There were five of us in all and the menu consisted of meatballs, hot wings, brownie bars, chocolate pumpkin bread and pumpkin muffins.  I set out chips and salsa and this adorably, ghoulish guacamole dip in a carved out pumpkin.

I made sure to pick up a few extra serving platters and bowls at the Dollar Tree so I was able to transfer the food into Halloween inspired dishes as my guests arrived.

All the little creepy critters came from the Dollar Tree and I think they added just the right touch.

We had the best time and laughed until my stomach hurt...which is the best kind of laughter.  Don't you agree?

At the end of the evening each one of my guests took home one of the witches leg centerpieces as well as a silly candy bag plus goodies provided from the other guests. When was the last time you had friends over?  It doesn't have to be expensive to be festive.  I will link my YouTube video if you'd like to take a look at how I put it all together.

Happy Halloween!

xo, Patty

  1. Patty, What a fun time for you and your friends. I liked your decorations. The big sunflower bouquet was wonderful too. So funny about the pumpkin being sick. LOL. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  3. So much fun! I tried to comment on the utube video but it wouldn’t go through for some reason. Oops! Actually, I guess it was your next video on marriage today that I tried to comment on. Oh well. I enjoy all of your posts and videos. :-)
    Blessings,

  4. What a GREAT party!!! I guess my invitation got lost in the mail?!!! I think you did a fantastic job on everything. I had to laugh at the puking pumpkin because our SweetCheeks would have started gagging non-stop. She has a real 'gag' reflex that is almost comical sometimes.

Thanks for sharing it all here with us! xo Diana
